Larry Hicks, a gifted,
well versed musician, has several abilities in his field of
entertainment. An appreciation and fondness for a variety of musical
forms has led to the cultivation of his talents in the areas of writing,
producing, as well as performing. Born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas under the
sign of Taurus, persistence and strong will led Larry to be a self taught
musician by the tender age of 13. He grew up listening to favorites such
as B.B. King, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton and Stevie Wonder.
Now a seasoned musician
with over twenty years under his belt, this veteran guitarist, arranger
and producer, has performed throughout the U.S., Canada, Europe, South
America, the Middle East and Asia. Larry has worked with such groups as
The Platters, The Marquees, WAR, Isaac Hayes and Little Richard. Most
recently he is composing collaborations with the very talented vocalist,
James Ingram on Larry's upcoming solo project soon to be released on the
independent records label, HIX Records. Though there have been obstacles
that confront one on the way to success, Larry Hicks has not given up his
dream of writing, arranging and producing his own compositions. Today
Larry lives in Los Angeles where he spends many hours a day in his self
made recording studio hard at work creating something new and innovative.
